Llys-y-Frân Lake has been re-developed by Welsh Water to create a hub for health, wellbeing and recreation. We are very excited to be re-opening after being closed for re-development soon and can’t wait to see you.
The reservoir was first opened in 1972 by HRH Princess Margaret, we supply most of the water used by homes and industry in south Pembrokeshire. The dam is a feat of engineering, but it has also preserved this landscape as a haven for nature and wildlife.

A £4 million major investment to the visitor centre and recreational facilities was backed with £1.7 million of European Regional Development Funds through the Welsh Government.
