The Reservoir Cycling Route


Enjoy the main cycle route, riding along the complete circuit of the reservoir, along a gravelled track.

This is the best way to enjoy its hidden inlets and stunning views from every perspective. Take care on the steep sections and hairpin bends on the far (western) side.

Starting at the Visitor Centre – cycle anticlockwise around the reservoir. Start off easy and build up to the hard sections, or brave the hard sections first and save the easy bit till last.

Hard to Easy – From the visitor centre make your way down to the bottom of the dam wall following the Woodstock trail. Easy to Hard – From activity centre head through the trees to begin the journey from our picnic area following the Family Trail

Hard to Easy – Continue your journey following the Woodstock trail through the woods and over the hills. Easy to Hard – Continue your adventure along the track following the family trail.

Both trails – Once you reach the bridge over the Afon Syfni you are halfway to completing your epic trek. You’re almost there!

Both trails – Head back to our Visitor Centre for a well-earned rest and refreshment.
