Outdoor play has huge mental and physical benefits for the young and young at heart, so a visit here is time well spent. The adventure playground at Llys-y-frân is perfectly positioned near the Visitor Centre with views for days across the water. You can keep a close eye on the kids while you enjoy a take-away drink from the café.
The large, dedicated play area has swings, slides, climbing frames, rockers and the ever-popular mini zip wire. Visit before or after you explore the peace and tranquillity of the forest and lakes but put it on your to do list.
A safe area for those with boundless energy to blow off steam with freedom to run around and enjoy the fresh air. Here you may also see the lesser-spotted competitive dad in his natural habitat swinging from the monkey bars.
Children must be supervised at all times in the adventure playground but zooming down the zip wire is not obligatory for grown ups (although we bet you will be tempted). Please keep dogs out of this area – we have created a dedicated dog park for them to play in.
Top Tip – allow extra time for your visit as getting the kids to leave here is never easy!
We also have a dedicated dog park or bark park as we like to call it.
Here you can safely let them off the lead to challenge their agility and enjoy the toys and tunnels.
